Cancerophylia (affinity to cancer) is a sum of metabolic conditions , which heighten the probability of malignant cell transformation. Metabolic shifts provoke damages of genome, thus creating favorable background for growth and development of transformed cells. We register the development hyperinsulinemia, hypertrigliceridemia and hormonal misbalance. In this sense, cancerophylia is a functional type of pre-cancer, which is verified by the possibility to influence frequency of cancer by normalizing the hormone-metabolic parameters (Albrink M.,1984). It is known, that mountain climate normalizes lipo-carbohydrate and hormonal balance (Lahiri et al., 1970). Similar date was obtained from our experiments (s.Shastoun et.al.,1998). Animals with dislipoproteinemia and hormon al misbalance after 20-day long exposure to hypoxia in mountains (3200 m over
sea level) and in barocamera (the height: of elevation Œ3200 m over see level) developed a define decrease of the level of aterogenic fraction of lipoproteins of low density and lipoproteins of very low density and increase of transport antiaterogenic fraction of lipoproteins of high density. These change ultimately resulted in normalizing of atergenesis index (according to D,S.Fredrickson, 1967) from 5.4 03 to 3.5 02 units. Simultaneously a positive dynamic in functioning of cardiorespiratory system assessed by criteria of cardiorespiratory system efficiency (A.N. Mendelanovsky 1987) was registered. We are concerned with the earliest possible correction of the hormone-metabolic shifts, peculiar to cancerophylia. In fact, the general regularity of all non-specific illnesses is the lipocarbohydrate exchange shift towards lipids (l.Panon,1993) These shifts are a prognostic factor, and make it possible to consider a hypoxic factor as an effective tool in treating and in prophylaxis of cancerophylia.

Clinical observation shows that non-drug therapies such as intermittent hypoxia therapy, diet, medically supervised fasting, acupancture, may be employed alongside chemotherapy, radiotherapy before, and/or after surgical intervention. The basic keys for the efficacy of most natural therapies for any chronic disease is:
the regular application of treatment in order to produce a stable-long term adaptation.

The mechanism of adaptation consists of haemostatic shift induced by a specific factor influencing a "pendulum" regime. For instance, exercise, controlled fasting or intermittent hypoxia therapy , which activates the higher regulatory level of the system responsible for adaptation. The cells of this dominant physiological system (specifically responsible for adaptation), in turn, activate the genetic apparatus. The nucleic acid and protein synthesis becomes activated to form main function-limiting cellular structures. Selective growth of these cellular structures results in the formation of the so-called systemic structural trace. This increases the functional power system responsible for adaptation and enables the transformation of urgent but unreliable adaptation into stable-term adaptation.

These different treatment regimes may present the possibility of creating adaptive structures in the body, such as cytochrome P-450, stress protein (chaperones), and helps in the repair of cell receptors, increases endorphin and encephalin horm ones.

Similar influences are to be found in intermittent regimes involving light, cold temperature, magnetic action, administration of adaptogenic substances, graduated physical exercise, ingestion of herbs and homeopathic remedies. etc.

Natural therapies may help eliminate the main symptoms of pain, insomnia and wakefulness, nausea, marked weakness connected with hypoxia and hypoglycaemia (usually due to hyperinsulinaemia), hormonal imbalance characteristic of chronic stress. Complementary medicine can be helpful for cancer patients most of the time without painkillers, tranquillizers, sleeping tablets, etc.
